Within our studies of the Cold War, the wartime conferences at Yalta and Potsdam in 1945 played an important role in understanding the breakdown of the alliance between the USA, UK and USSR. You should understand what was agreed on,what was disagreed on and how the USSR and the USA/UK distrusted each other, making it difficult to ever really negotiate.
